::Leavin on a Jet plane::

My step dad always told me that when he traveled by plane that there are two types of people he always tried to avoid: the really talkative and nosey travelers and young screaming children. As some of you know I am now in Virginia to see my wonderful father. My friend Kelly and I decided to fly down to Virginia and I finally understood my step dad's frustration with screaming children. We get on our plane to Memphis as this was our designated route and get as comfortable as one can in an airplane chair, then a young child about the age of three starts wailing as she is ENTERING the plane. Her crying is so loud that the Flight attendant cannot get on the speaker because the screaming would interfere with the message. I make some comment about how I hope the young child stays up there, but I'm sure God was teaching me some lesson as the parents, grandparents and the child's seat were right behind me. I thank God that the child started to quiet down about half way through the flight with the calming affect of a serene mother. I pray one day that I may have this affect on my child or I learn the wonderful effects of NyQuil :-) Okay I'm joking about the NyQuil, sortive. I will keep everyone up to date on my trip!

::For the love of Weddings::

First of all, everyone in the world of bloggers needs to know that I despise driving. I don't know what is wrong with my brain, as you would think that I would like the freedom that my '93 Cadillac De ville may bring me, but instead I see it as a death trap. But, for the love of weddings (and a lovely bride by the name of E), I drove for the first time for two straight hours. So on Saturday afternoon, myself and three of my close friends, took the drive to the boothill to see our dear friend E take the plunge of married life. She was one of the prettiest brides I had ever seen and she got a great deal on her dress. I am so proud of her and can't wait to see what God has for her in this new part of her life.

The funniest part of this wedding, besides the ring bearer tripping up the steps and E going down to the aisle to the Princess Bride, was her outrageous but fitting cake topper.

::When the sun is out to stay, the kids just gotta play::

It was such a beautiful day and so Julie, a co-worker and friend of mine, and I wanted to enjoy the sun and so I showed her a little bit of beauty that was once shown to me. We went to what I call the "horse park", because (drum roll please) there are horses there. It was such a great day and I got to see the continued joy on Julie's face. It was such a good time to get away from work and see the sun.

::Sarah and Ashleys Day out::

On May 20th (a month after her actually b-day), I took my sister Ashley out for her birthday. This was the best time for her and I have a great job in which I am able to take days off when I need to. So usually planning things is no problem for me, as I do this as a job at my college, but for my sister I had no idea what she wanted to do. So I got some details and we ended up doing some of them:

We started out having breakfast at my dorm then set out to go shopping. We went to Plato's closet and found some great deals then went to see the movie 21. Which was a good movie. Then I wanted to show her my new found love for Trader Joe's and so we went there to find something for a late lunch. Finally, we headed to what I call "horse park" and ate our fabulous lunch, painted our nails and had girl talk. Overall it was a much needed day off for both....

Now to show you our great lunch.
Not much is greater then sushi and bon bons.....

::The office:take two::

So, I told everyone that I would update you on my thoughts and feelings towards the show "The Office" . Well let me preface this post by saying that I have never seen a whole series all the way through. First I really don't watch television that often and secondly I don't have a regular schedule, I just watch television whenever I sit at home, which isn't that often. And so seeing more than one episode in a row is odd. I am beginning to appreciate the off color and "awkward" humor that surrounds The Office. I am still a little fuzzy on the character and have very little character development. But I will admit that I am thinking I may start the show from season 1.....to be continued....
P.S. I can't wait for more interaction between these two characters I hope they continue into next season.

::Potential wedding planner?::

My boss asked me a couple of months ago if I would organize and implement her reception. I thinking it couldn't be any worse than any other event said yes. But then I began to think and realized the importance of my input. So we planned and the reception was so pretty and elegant. It was simple, beautiful and intimate. I am blessed to work for such a lovely lady and that she trusted in me to put together such a huge event in her life. J. Lo, "the wedding planner" has got nothing on me....:-)

::office hair::

So everyday I fall into the monotony of blow drying my hair and ending up with a Farrah Fawcett look- you know curly and big- which is nice but eventually boring.

So today I went looking on the Internet for some tamed or office appropriate hairstyles. That led me to typing in "office hair" into the Google searcher. Oh I am so naive, but what I found made me giggle almost the entire day. I hope it entertains you also.....

Here is a teaser.....

::strike a pose::

A couple of weeks ago I tried a new thing. I had my camera in my hands with new batteries and had an itch to take some pictures, but not just my usual flowers and stationary objects instead people (actually more like a person). So I went on my search for my first victim and she happened to be an already "dolled-up" Danielle (she was going to go out on the town with the girls later). She was so patient with me and attempted any pose I asked of her, even in a dress and high heels and always had a smile on her face. So I hope you enjoy the results::

Please note: These photos have not been touched up and were taken with my simple kodak easy share camera.

::Trader Joes: a shopping experience::

For a long time my friends have told me about this wonderful place to go grocery shopping called Trader Joe's. I had been curious about this place and had been wanting to check it out for a while but today I finally did. And boy was I surprised. First of all the prices are amazing, the store is mostly if not all organic and the cost of everything was about 2/3 of the price that one would get at a normal grocery store. Being a College student that is a wonderful concept. Second the organic thing, I was not taught the whole organic concept so I have been trying to educate myself about eating healthy and well. So this store is only showing me positive alternatives, which I appreciate. I promise you that I will be visiting this wonderful place again and often.
